Ink Holds a Landscape

The original image compresses a world into one drop. This independent installation asks the opposite question: how much space can that drop occupy without losing its intimacy? A translucent circular lens suspends the ink gesture in light, while the black basin below receives its reflection as a second, unstable drawing. Small movements in air and water would continually redraw the composition. The room stays dark and nearly empty because the work already contains its own weather. Scale changes the image from illustration into encounter, but the central contradiction remains: ink is both a mark on a surface and an invitation to imagine depth. The world appears precisely because so little has been explained.
